Sleepy Hollow was a brand new site build from idea to deployment. Our team worked with an outside design team to make sure the site was ADA compliant. Which means the design colors and layout needed to be ironed out before we even coded. Even though we use coding practices to make sure we are ADA compliant, we also used a 3rd party plugin called ‘UserWay’ to help with other ADA standards.

Our team help setup the hosting using a custom wordpress hosting company. Setup site SEO and using caching techniques so the performance would be fast and smooth. We coded a custom calendar for events, and weather api in javascript because the client wanted the users to know the local temp during the day.

Project Tasks
  • Website Build

    Use designed files as a blueprint, and used a custom Wordpress theme to match site design. Setup client with site hosting, and trained them on how to update site on their own. Created custom weather widget for users to know current temp of client location.

  • SEO and Event Functionality

    Made sure the design, and text copy use the correct wording for best SEO practices. Also used strong keywords and marked pages for sitemap for solid Search Engine Optimization.

  • ADA Complient

    Worked with Design team on design layout, colors, along with strong coding practices to make sure the design is within the ADA Standards for Accessible Design. Then we added 3rd party app UserWay to help with other ADA Standards like text size and font changes with AI.

  • Custom Javascript

    Utilizing the JavaScript library React for building user faq and weather widget, we also using tailwind components css and custom css.
